On the iSeries since 94. Started in a bank supporting a Letter of Credit application written in Cobol. Started a Career at Costco and renewed my RPG skills. and learned ILE and moved to free. Along with way picked up SQL and became the go to guy for fixing problems.
Later worked at Knight Transportation. Modernized some old code, and put my data queue knowledge to work. Also was part of an effort to incorporate JSON into the workflows.
My Specialties
SQL: both embedded and SQL procedures. Also fluent in SQL-CLI.
Messaging: Data queues and MQ on the iSeries. Designed and implemented a data queue messaging application.
RPG ILE approach and managing signatures
RPG editors along with PDM, RDi, Visual Studio Code.
IFS
FTP: Alliance, Goanywhere, and developed my own FTP application used by EDI and others.
Agile programming
Deployment tools, Jira/MDCMS, Turnover, and Aldon
Languages Primarily RPG and all the modern additions. Also Cobol, Python, Javascript.
