I started programming in BASIC aged 10, was an Analyst Programmer by 21 having 5.5yrs of programming in RPG under my belt by then. By 24, 1was contracting & Senior A.P. by 26. I'm a confident person & not phased by the sector/size of a business. I'm very used to hitting the ground running. I build a rapport with people quickly & thrive finding the most logical solutions to problems (being inventive, pragmatic when needed). Designing ways to streamline processes or providing new functionality through project work is important to me, as well as a very varied role. Getting involved in the entire life cycle is my ideal position. However, I'm also very used to the correcting bugs or coding changes as part of BAU & OOH support. I often end up being team leader, team coordinator or point of contact (due to my personable & natural organisational skills). My experience means I hold senior position & because of my adaptability I frequently hold cross functional roles. Recently, I have completed a Prince2 Agile Foundation & Practitioners course. To add more transferable skills to my 20yrs in RPG &IBM ,i &play to my natural leadership, management skills.
End to End from research/business analysis, concept, design, development, testing, deployment/delivery, training, maintenance & support. System upgrades & operations. Prince2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, Kanban etc. SDLC Natural leadership, problem solver/creative with good interpersonal skills. Any sector, as I pick things up quickly, but have experience in the Manufacturing, Public Sector, London Markets, Insurance, Travel, Publishing, Charities & Pharmaceuticals. Adaptable working.
